St. Maane

St. Maane is singer and guitarist Birgit de Priester, based in Rotterdam. She grew up in a household of Tom Waits and Lou Reed and while living in Denmark, in 2014, she started her project St. Maane – blue poetry, open tuned guitars and an intimate voice – inspired by woman as Aldous Harding, Laura Marling and Joni Mitchell.

In 2017 St. Maane won the price “Sena Grote Prijs van Rotterdam” category singer/songwriter. St. Maane played different venues in the Netherlands, Denmark and Iceland and was played on the Icelandic radio. She is selected for the Popronde 2018, NL.

Currently she is working on her debut EP.

Live she is accompanied by Sophie Reekers (bass, synth, backings) and Silvan van der Zwaag (guitar).
